I know that Barca would never sell, and he would probably never want to leave. But bearing in mind, the £80 mill for CR7 and the 50mill for Torres (ahem - less than 5 goals this season?), what do you guys think the asking price would be, if it would ever exist? Start the bidding at 200 mill and I'm staying conservative with that.

No price could lift him IMO or city would have bid it already. Barca being the top team in the world only would sell if the offer made sense for them and they could improve the team overall from the sale, being the age that he is and the fact that no other player on the planet even comes close to lacing his boats means there is not a price out there they'd sell for IMO.

I was just trying to find out for fun what people thought a realistic price would be. Truth is, I suppose even if he was available at a couple hundred million, no team could buy him now due to the fair play restrictions surely, provided they were enforced as UEFA said they would be. :joker:

in realistic terms though £200m is ridic. Considering Ronaldo cost 80m.

I would think £100m would be the price tag.

Just watching Barca v Granada, 2 - 0 up at half time great first half performance, Messi scores to equal Barca's all time scoring record n sets up Xavi for the 2nd. Granada pull 2 back early 2nd half, then Messi collects a great cross, with sublime control and chip from Messi to become Barca's all time leading scorer at the Age of 24!!! SICK wp sir! :clap:

Shows how good Mourinho is IMO that Madrid are nailed on to win la liga, when you watch just how amazing this Barca team is. :nuts:

He is pretty sick to be fair. I mean, in any normal generation people wouldn't stop talking about Ronaldo who also has some redic scoring record, but Messi is just sooooooooooooo good.

The most sick thing for me for both of them is that neither (think Ronaldo plays up there sometimes) are out and out strikers

It wasn't a tip, it was the fact that they boosted the price of Messi to get a hat trick that made it value. If I had of known the rat faced fooker was going to bag three then I would be just about to embark on a flight to the Bahamas

Ronaldo scored a quality goal tonight, he got his 7th hatrick of the season!! In any other era he'd be labelled one of the greatest ever, but Messi peaking at the same time has over shadowed an amazing talent, the speed he runs with the ball is phenomenal.
